David Hailwood,is the person responsible for this idea. He mentioned it and it inspired me to work on it straight after finishing Flamin' Freddy Firestorm. Here's an excerpt from an email he sent me:
"The worst magician in the entire world. His sawing in half trick isn't much of a trick. His escape from a box trick has resulted in many a death, due to his insistence in putting live scorpions in the box. Pretty much every trick he does results in death and carnage. And that's just how he likes it, since he collects the souls of the recently departed to weave into his cloak. Could either look like a witch doctor in appearance, or a more traditional top-hat wearing man in a mysterious cloak full of screaming faces."
